After the downgrade installation, the computer rebooted and it automatically went into the 'Automatic repair/Diagnosing PC' screen. I started the downgrade process and everything seemed to go smoothly. Unfortunately, I did not restart my computer once the uninstall was complete as I figured I would have to restart it once the downgrade finished anyways. After uninstalling it, I went to my Program Files and deleted the AVG folder to remove all traces of the program. I went ahead and uninstalled AVG through the programs and features window. After the Windows 10 upgrade, I got a message saying that the version of AVG free I had installed would need to be reinstalled. I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday, and after messing around with it, I decided to downgrade and go back to Windows 8.1.
